The Boat

Saga is a 1962 Allied Seawind cutter-rigged ketch. She was designed and built to be an ocean-capable world cruiser. A sistership of mine, also a 1962 Allied Seawind, was the first fiberglass boat to sail around the world.

It has been suggested to me by so many people that I should start a blog so they can read about  my sailing adventures, so I have decided to give it a shot. Many people have enjoyed reading my quarterly newsletter “The Rogue Wave”, and I do enjoy writing, so maybe this blog will have staying power.
